Privacy Policy

Summary

Efficar does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data. There are no ads, ever.

What the app stores

Your vehicles, your log (odometer readings, fuel and charging amounts, costs, dates, stations and notes), your service reminders and your settings, such as units and currency. These are kept only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.

iCloud sync

If iCloud sync is on (it is by default, and free), your log is stored in your own private iCloud account so it appears on your other devices and survives a new phone. Apple stores it; we cannot see or access it.

What the app does not do

The app has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own, and contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking code. It never uses your location.

Notifications

If you set service reminders (Efficar Pro) and allow notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device: a week before a service is due, on the day, and a week after if it hasn't been marked done. They are created and delivered entirely on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us or any server.

Stations

You can type where you filled up or charged. The app never uses your location; stations are only what you type, and stay in your log.

Exporting your data

CSV export (Efficar Pro) creates a file on your device and shares it only where you choose, such as Files, Mail or AirDrop.

Subscriptions

Efficar Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details, name or email. The app only checks with Apple whether your Apple ID has an active subscription. You can manage or cancel it in the iPhone Settings app.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
